We are looking for an experienced Senior Medical Writer to join the Clinical Team at MedShr – the world’s leading clinical case discussion platform. This is an ideal role for someone looking to progress their Medical Writing Career, with the potential to develop further into a Medical Strategist role.

Role Profile:

MedShr is looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Senior Medical Writer to join our Clinical Team. You will work closely with the Commercial Team, supporting proposal development, clinical content development and partner communications. The role includes support for educational partnerships and you will work in collaboration with the doctors in the team as a valued clinical voice.

Key Responsibilities:

Content Development:

• Deliver scientific content to a high standard for key healthcare accounts through your own writing or overseeing and reviewing the work of others

• Write clear and succinct educational needs assessments that provide evidence for identified clinical practice gaps, that follow recognized standards, and are supported by internal and external data

• Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of therapy areas relevant to specific accounts, including product data and educational messaging, terminology and competitor awareness

• Support the curation and management of clinical case content

Business Development:

• Collaborate with the Commercial team to identify and incorporate clinical insights and recommendations in proposals and pitches

• Combine therapeutic area knowledge, commercial context and creativity to contribute to further business development opportunities including proposals and pitches

• Contribute in client meetings as the scientific representative of MedShr

Clinical review and supervisory:

• Clinical review of medical communications, including for marketing, social media and partnerships

• Line management of junior members of medical writing team as team expands

Successful candidates will have:

• A life sciences degree (preferably a PhD)

• A minimum of 2-3 years as a medical writer working environment in the pharmaceutical, commercial or digital industry

• Ability to write clear and concise, scientifically accurate copy

• Excellent attention to detail

• Happy to work across a wide range of therapy areas

• Able to understand and balance clinical and commercial context as appropriate

• Be proactive and flexible, ready to adapt to a fast-paced environment

• Be self-motivated and driven to constantly improve and optimize content and engagement strategy

• Be organized and capable of effectively prioritizing workload

• Demonstrate critical thinking needed to create content and manage a diverse range of responsibilities with accuracy and creativit

Key Skills:

• Experience with medical content creation and education highly desirable

• A clear concise communicator at all levels who develops trust easily, and both internally and externally to the organisation
