Your skills and experience:
The position of Programs Director has responsibility for managing the day-to-day execution of commercially supported clinical education programs. The Programs Director will ensure project processes are followed, deliverables align with original specifications, and projects are on time, and key milestones are met. To apply for this position you will need prior experience working in the medical communications industry or in the delivery of pharma-funded medical education initiatives.
Managing the end to end delivery of pharma supported education and engagement programs
You will create and review timelines ensuring project plans are on schedule
Responsible for monitoring project resources t, and coordinating clinical content development with the Commercial and Clinical Programs Teams
Responsible for providing weekly updates to regarding program milestones and issues, providing ongoing risk-management communications to the Senior Team
Modify schedules and/or project plans as necessary and regularly update the Commercial and Clinical Programs Teams
Maintain a detailed understanding of the financial status of your programmes including revenue and billings status
Mitigate project delays; offering agile and practical solutions to overcome development issues
Communicate program goals and status to the client and project team as and when is required
Schedule and facilitate program initiation, planning and review meetings
Maintain a friendly and productive relationship through clear articulation and an effective communication style with internal and external stakeholders
Successful Candidates will have:
Educated to degree level, or above
A minimum of two years proven experience as a program manager or director
Experience in the pharmaceutical, commercial or medical education sector e.g. as an Account or Project Manager
Proven experience in building strong external and internal relationships in a local and global capacity
Experience of managing accounts and relationships for multiple local and global clients
Solid time management and organisational skills, with the ability to efficiently coordinate and work on multiple tasks simultaneously in a highly deadline-driven environment
Solid project management skills with the ability to be responsible for your projects
Great organisational skills with the ability to balance multiple simultaneous projects
Excellent communication (verbal and written)
Relationship building skills
Self-motivated, positive attitude, and very high energy with a willingness to accept varied projects
Attention to detail
Comfortable with presenting to clients and internal teams
The ability to think on your feet to deal with unforeseen issues, manage conflicting interests between teams and identify compromise
Our salary is extremely competitive.
For this role we can offer a hybrid approach, with either 1 or 2 days in the London Office.
